(Core Competency 8):

Across the Ages: Teaching Strategies that
work for diverse learner populations

In this program, participants will examine what is of value and importance to traditionalists, baby boomers, generation X and generation Y and how those can sometimes be in conflict. Discover the talents for everyone you work with, to gain a deeper understanding of what motivates each group and how they react to differing situations. Learn the 7 things that Gen X and Y want from their teachers and creative ways to teach them healthcare content.

Objectives:

  • Compare and contrast the four generations in school and/or the workplace.
  • Analyze the seven things Gen X and Y want from those who teacher and manage them.

  • Appraise new teaching strategies that work and how they will be implemented in your program.
