ConsultGeriRN.org website is the geriatric clinical nursing website of the Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing, at New York University's College of Nursing, College of Dentistry. It is an extensive online resource for nurses in clinical and educational settings including a list of assessment tools for the geriatric patients called the Try This series. It is located under the clinical resources/tools tab and includes physical, cognitive, safety, and medication evaluations. ConsultGeriRN.org is funded in part by a grant from the Atlantic Philanthropies (USA) Inc. and the John A. Hartford Foundation.

This Review Course helps nurses prepare for the American Nurses Credentialing Center's (ANCC) Gerontological Nurse Certification Examination. The Review Course offers a summary of current key clinical information and issues central to caring for the highly specialized needs of older adults. It also reviews the current financial, social, political, and cultural issues that affect nursing care for the elderly. This course reflects the current test content outline of the ANCC Gerontological Nurse Certification Examination.

The Cleveland Clinic Center for Continuing Education Disease Management Project is a website designed for physicians and other health professionals, but its content is easily adaptable for nursing curriculums. This site, divided into "chapters," provides a comprehensive list of conditions commonly seen in older adults. The definition, etiology, prevalence, risk factors, signs and symptoms, treatment, and outcomes are provided, along with references, for each condition.

This link contains an integrated curriculum from Community Health Nursing Practicum & Seminar, University of Washington, Bothell; and a stand-alone curriculum from the University of Washington, Seattle and Seattle University. The website also has teaching strategies and learning modules for faculty use. The content includes functional and safety assessment, medication safety, and dietary review. A bibliography is provided at the end of each learning module.

The website of the University of Minnesota's Hartford Center of Geriatric Nursing Excellence includes many excellent resources including the Faculty Learning About Geriatrics (FLAG) Program. Offered annually since 2008, it is designed for faculty in schools of nursing (associate and higher degree nursing programs), doctoral nursing students, and advanced practice nurses who want to develop or increase their expertise in teaching geriatric nursing.
