The Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing website has a series of case studies that are ready to use. This content which was developed for advance practice nurses is adaptable for discussion with pre-licensure students.

ConsultGeriRN.org website is the geriatric clinical nursing website of The Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing, at New York University's College of Nursing. It is an extensive online resource for nurses in clinical and educational settings This link contains evidenced based geriatric topics with a drop down list of conditions including an overview, goals, nursing strategies and expected outcomes. This link contains an integrated curriculum from Community Health Nursing Practicum & Seminar: University of Washington, Bothell and a stand alone curriculum from University of Washington, Seattle and Seattle University, Seattle. The website also has teaching strategies and learning modules for faculty use. The content includes functional and safety assessment, medication safety, and dietary review. A bibliography is provided at the end of each learning module.

The Cleveland Clinic Center for Continuing Education Disease Management Project is a website designed for physicians and other health professionals, but it's content is easily adaptable for nursing curriculums. This link provides a comprehensive list of conditions commonly seen in older adults. This site is divided into "chapters". For each condition the definition, etiology, prevalence, risk factors, signs and symptoms, and treatment, outcomes are provided, along with references.

Alpert Medical School Educational Resources on Aging from Brown University has a website designed for medical students that is useful for nursing as well. This is a comprehensive site containing articles, assessment tools, and PowerPoint presentations on a variety of topics relevant to care of older adults.
